The first step is identifying where wired connections will provide the most benefit. Modern homes often contain multiple connected systems that rely on stable networking, such as smart TVs, streaming devices, home offices and security systems.
We typically consider:
- Rooms where media devices or gaming consoles will be used
- Areas requiring reliable connections for home working
- Locations where WiFi access points may improve wireless coverage
- Smart home systems such as CCTV or automation hubs
This ensures the structured cabling layout will support both your current devices and any future tech added later.
Designing the Network Infrastructure
Once requirements are clear, we design a structured cabling layout that distributes ethernet connections throughout key rooms in the property. All cables run back to a central network hub or cabinet (depending on what you prefer), keeping the infrastructure organised and allowing additional connections to be added easily.
Professional Structured Cabling Installation
Our engineers install high-quality Cat6 (or Cat7 if requested) structured data cabling, routing cables discreetly through loft spaces, wall cavities and floor voids. Each cable run is terminated into ethernet outlets or patch panels and tested to ensure reliable network performance across the home.
